Hard Rock Owners Given License:
Hard Rock owners in Las Vegas, were approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission for a nonrestricted gambling license which clears the way for the company to take over gambling operations a year after the purchase of the property. A $750 Million renovation project is underway which is slated to be completed by mid 2009 and will expand the 30,000 square foot casino to 65, 000 square feet.
Fire at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas:
Gamblers fled the casino floor as firefighters rushed up flights of stairs, but remarkably no one was seriously injured in a blaze that blackened the top floors of the 32-story Monte Carlo hotel-casino ..more on this story
